*We ask that you register for a desired class in advance. This will ensure your space in the class, allow you time to pick up the instructor's information sheet & purchase the kit or fabric needed for your project.  We ask that you purchase your fabric from our store,  
A Quilter'sCottage,  whenever possible.  All class fees are due at the time of registration. Class participation may be cancelled by the student one full week in advance of the first scheduled class to receive a full refund of class fee.  AQC reserves the right to cancel a class 48 hours prior to the scheduled class time.  Students will receive a full refund of the class fee & when applicable a store credit for the value of a purchased kit.  For a class to meet we need a minimum of 3 paid registrations.  We require that you supply your own sewing machine.  Your machine must be in good working order with previous knowledge of threading & operating it. It is suggested that if you have not used your machine in awhile you should have it serviced.

A new Block of the Month group starting for the 2008-2009 year that will meet once a month.These blocks are 12 1/2" squares & can be used to make a quilt as pictured at right or added to previous collections or repeated to make a continuous pattern as pictured below. Come learn piecing techniques from Susan who will show you the beauty of perfect piecing through machine piecing, freezer paper applique, hand, English & paper piecing.

Moda University begins with Mystery Quilt
Monday, November 17. 9:30-12noon. Cost $15.
This will be held once a month for the year 2008-2009.

Introducing Moda University Mystery Quilt. Each month you will receive a pattern for that month. Won't you join us in this fun to piece quilt month to month? Just pick your favorite Moda collection! Our project is called "Selvages".

Susan is offering her class again but with a new twist- this is a different look at this amazing technique that has incredible possibilities when your fabric becomes a kaleidoscope of colors. We will be using the book One Block Encore.

Coming in January- 3 weeks

Join Patt & Amanda in January to make this large, functional tote. (It is ideal for a computer if desired) You will learn zipper placement, pockets & how to construct a multi-layered purse. This bag looks hard but goes together easily once the pieces are cut & facing applied. There is no top quilting. You will be pleased with the finished results!

October Panel

This is our 2nd panel in the series. There is 1 for each class & a birthday or celebration panel. The size is 20" x 40" & fits nicely on a door or in an entry hall. Interfaced aplique technique is used on the top section, the center section is dimensional pumpkins & the bottom 3 rectangles are just the right size for trying out new quilting designs.

This panel is 1 of a series as in the ones listed previously. The top section is raw edge applique with a "stuffed" turkey. The center is continuous prairie points. The bottom 3 rectangles are just the right size for trying out new quilting designs.

Mock Pineapple Quilt
Monday, Oct. 20 & 27
1-3PM    $15 each class

A lovely 44" x 44" wall or lap quilt assembled in the strip piecing method, 1 setment at a time on each of the 16 blocks. Keep your various sized rods in piles as they are added to the appropriate segment. All of the blocks are then complete at the same time.

Allium & Lilies
Monday, Nov. 17 & 24.
1-3PM. $15 each class

This quilt has so much depth & texture. The center lilies & buds are folded & appliqued. The inner border is made with tucked waves & the cornerstone flowers are origami folded fabric. This is an easy project to machine quilt.
