General Information
To assist in achieving a quick turn around time please remember

  • The batting and backing should measure at least 4 inches longer and wider than
    the top on each side.
  • Clip all loose threads that may cause “shadowing” under lighter fabrics or cause
    snags or uneven stitching
  • Press seams flat.
  • A row of stitching 14;” from the edge will help prevent stretching.
  • Trim selvages before seaming the back.
  • Square the top and back.
  • Seams that come to the edge of the quilt should be backstitched.
  • Indicate the top and bottom of a quilt when necessary.
  • Quilt top should be free of embellishments.
  • Bed sheets are NOT suitable for use as a backing.

  • **A $15.00 an hour charge will be applied to the cost of the quilting for quilts not properly
    prepared
