Lovebites 2 sticks butter + 1/8 c. more(1 1/8 cup) softened 3/4 c. powdered sugar 1/8 tsp salt 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/4 c. pink or red nonpareils light corn syrup pink crystal sugar In bowl, with mixer on medium, beat together butter, sugar & salt until light & fluffy. Reduce mixer to low speed & gradually beat in flour to combine. Mix in nonpareils. Roll dough to 1/2" thickness between 2 sheets of wax paper. Refrigerate until chilled. Heat oven to 350. Cut out bite size heart shaped cookies. Place on baking sheet 1/2" apart & bake 14 to 18 min, until just golden. Transfer cookies to wire rack, & cool completely. Brush edges of cooled cookies with corn syrup, then dip in crystal sugar. |
