Babylock is at A Quilter's Cottage!
We are an authorized Babylock Dealer!
Babylock carries over 40 machines from basic class sewing machines to elaborate embroidery machines, sergers & embellishers. We offer financing through GE for your machine purchases to help you get on your way to sewing those lovely heirloom items & quilts. With your purchase we will provide a thorough introduction in using your new machine.
Below is our Ellegante Sewing & Embroidery Machine that includes wonderful stitches such as hundreds of heirloom, utility stitches, quilting designs from applique to character patterns for borders & the best embroidery capabilities with one of the largest frames in the industry- 7" x 12". It has automatic threading & you have to see this to believe it- no more trying to find the needle hole- it does it for you! I love this machine- it sews beautifully & I love the embroidery features. It stitches fast & the embroidery patterns are flawless when finished.
Our Babylock Shower was a resounding success! A lovely time was had by our more than 60 attendees. Many prizes were given away to lucky participants with our grand prize of an Audrey Babylock Sewing Machine going to Connie Dowrey. Thank you everyone for all your support for the past 3 years. We appreciate our customers!
Our surprise of the day was guest speaker,
Kim Rogers, who was here to tell us about a Quilters Cottage Cruise that is being held November 7-12, 2009. The ship will be leaving from Tampa for a 5 day cruise to Cozumel & the Grand Cayman Islands. There will be classes & island visits to mix 2 pleasures, sewing & traveling! Patt will be teaching some classes to be announced. So gather your groups, friends & family & join us next year for this great trip! Check out this link, yourtravelexperts for further information. **Don't forget to check out our clearance corner! All fabrics in the corner are $5.00/yd with a minimum of 1 yd purchase! If you finish the bolt, the price is $4.00/yd. We also have some homespuns in 1 yd cuts that we have reduced to $2.00/ piece. These are great for those primitive projects that many of us enjoy doing.
We have just added 3 baskets of 1 yd cuts to our collection. Take a look at our remnants for a small project!
Susan is starting two new classes that will meet once a month as block of the month. The first class is Log Cabin Sampler Quilt. You may make an entire quilt or just selected blocks to learn all her valuable techniques to increase your skills. Her other Block of the Month class is by Moda University & is a Mystery Quilt which makes it a lot of fun to guess what is coming! Check out our classes page for furthur details.

Patt is now offering open sewing classes. Bring in any unfinished or new project & she will help you get started or work through problems along the way. We always enjoy her tips for shortcuts & ease in sewing. Check our classes page or call for information at 475-5906 for dates & times.
Pictured below is Patt's Machine Embroidered Quilt of Flowers. It is absolutely stunning- one of the prettiest machine embroidered quilts we've ever seen! She is offering a class for this quilt so look for it on our classes page. You will need an embroidery machine to make this project. We are again carrying Jim Shore collectible figurines & have several for the holiday season. We have a limited supply so make sure you get yours early!
We have many new patterns in as well as a variety of notions & tools to help you on your way to creating a special project! Look for our rainbow wall of Cottage Spices- fat quarters in color families & our new patterns from Amy Butler, The Creative Thimble & so many more. We have a large assortment from primitive samplers to contemporary clothing & handbag. Santa fabric panel makes a lovely display quilt to hang over your couch.
