Pecan Sandies

2 c. butter softened
1 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbs. water
4 tsp. vanilla extract
4 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. chopped pecans
Additional conf. sugar

In a mixing bowl, cream butter & sugar.  
Add water & vanilla: Mix well.  Gradually
add flour:  fold in pecans.  Roll into 1"
balls.  Place on ungreased baking sheets
& flatten with fingers.  Bake at 300
degrees for 20-25 min.  Cool on a wire
rack.  When cool, dust with
confectioners; sugar.  Yield:  about 5
dozen cookies.
